Ginger Breadman

Hey - nice PR for a 'B' race in the elements in Seattle today! After reviewing your chronology of where you've come from leading up to your Ironman last year and this year, you've come a long way - it's really inspiring!

Congrats Bruce on the PR. You probably passed me right around mile 25 or along Mercer... Hopefully I cheered for you as you passed. Here's my sad story... http://zappoman.wordpress.com/2006/11/27/seattle-marathon-race-report/

Glad you got your PR. My story was a little different in that, after three years without marathons, I was thinking of trying to re-qualify for Boston. Ran into illness and injury problems and a had a race day that wasn't so hot. My second half ballooned by 23 minutes and, obviously, I did not get my Boston.

Oh well, no more Seattle's for me as this is my second bad experience there. The only two bad marathons I've really had, so it's telling me something. If you're interested in a loooooong post about it ...
